Loreto Kirribilli
About Loreto Kirribilli
Step through the front gates of Loreto Kirribilli’s harbourside campus, and encounter what is warmly referred to throughout the community as the school’s ‘spirit’. Intangible, indefinable, this school spirit creates a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere, where every student develops a deep sense of belonging to a rich community of faith.
More than 400 years ago, Loreto’s foundress Mary Ward predicted, ‘Women in time to come will do much’. Today at Loreto Kirribilli, this vision is continued, with a Catholic education that liberates, empowers and motivates students to use their gifts with confidence, creativity and generosity.
A vigorous belief in the capacity of women to contribute significantly to society underlies a continued emphasis on the education of girls. The school’s focus is to develop students who are socially just, globally aware and ethically minded; learners who are curious in their pursuit of educational, spiritual and personal growth.
From the moment the very youngest students are welcomed into the Kindergarten classroom, they are supported to grow the character strengths required to face adversity and embrace the unfamiliar, guided and inspired by their faith every step of the way.
